Physical Layer Security Issues
نویسنده
چکیده
Conventional wired networks are subject to being tapped by a variety of means, whether copper or fiber connections are used. In addition, methods of network snooping exist that make such eavesdropping minimally invasive, but no less significant. Wireless networking has additional characteristics that also decrease physical network security. As new technologies emerge, the potential for loss of company information through lax physical security must be carefully evaluated and steps taken to mitigate the risk. In addition to automated security measures, such as intrusion detection and direct wiring monitoring, careful network management procedures can enhance physical security. Proper network design is critical to maintaining the desired level of security. In addition to the measures used on wired networks, wireless networks should be protected with encryption.

Applications of Game Theory for Physical Layer Security
This chapter provides a comprehensive review of the domain of game theory based physical layer security in wireless communications. By exploiting the wireless channel characteristic and secure cooperation of nodes, physical layer security is to enable the exchange of confidential messages over a wireless medium in the presence of unauthorized eavesdroppers, without relying on higher-layer encry...
متن کاملA Security Architecture in Cyber-Physical Systems: Security Theories, Analysis, Simulation and Application Fields
Governments, companies, universities and research institutes are pushing the research and development of cyber-physical systems (CPS). However, the development of cyberphysical systems is constrained by security factors. According to this situation, this paper put forward a CPS security model, which contains security objectives, basic theories, simulation, and CPS framework, summarizes security...

In this paper, we present a survey of security and privacy preserving issues in M2M communications in Cyber-Physical Systems. First, we discuss the security challenges in M2M communications in wireless networks of Cyber-Physical Systems and outline the constraints, attack issues, and a set of challenges that need to be addressed for building secure Cyber-Physical Systems. Then, a secure archite...
متن کاملThe Role of Physical Layer Security in IoT: A Novel Perspective
This paper deals with the problem of securing the configuration phase of an Internet of Things (IoT) system. The main drawbacks of current approaches are the focus on specific techniques and methods, and the lack of a cross layer vision of the problem. In a smart environment, each IoT device has limited resources and is often battery operated with limited capabilities (e.g., no keyboard). As a ...
متن کاملA Survey on Security Issues in Wireless Networks
We study the security provided by various types of Wireless Networks in perspective of using that information in designing a secure personal environment which may contain networks based on different standards. Typically in wired networks, the security issues are left to the application developer and the layers below do not provide any support. In wireless networks, the security issues are consi...
